NEOdirect helps you understand what you have, compare your options, and get support whenever you need it.
Takes only 2 mins
Does this sound like you?
A German insurance letter arrives and you are not sure what it means or if you need to act.
You bought insurance online or through someone quickly, but you are not confident it actually fits your life in Germany.
You need to talk to your insurance company, but you do not know how to explain your situation in German.
You want to file a claim, but you are worried about doing something wrong or missing steps.
What we do
Most clients arrive with a mix of policies from Check24, banks, or employer tips. We read them, line them up in one place, and handle the admin that usually piles up.
Bring us what you have. We mark it up together and explain what is inside, in plain English.

Outdated terms
This 2018 tarif is missing newer protections like e-bike liability and €10M coverage that's now standard for similar premiums.
You're overpaying
€98/yr with €250 deductible is on the high end. Comparable coverage is available around €52/yr with no deductible.
Missing coverage
No Forderungsausfall (uninsured-third-party protection) and no Schlüsselverlust. Both matter for renters.
Recommendation
Switch to a current-generation tarif. Estimated saving: ~€46/yr with better coverage.
Sometimes the verdict is: leave it alone
Not every review ends in a switch. We often look at a contract and tell you it is already well priced and well structured, so the best move is to keep it. We have also talked clients out of buying things, like disability cover before a visa was settled, when the timing or the add-on did not fit their situation.
No more hunting through emails for a policy number, or guessing when something renews.

Transparency
In Germany, the legal structure of who you buy from decides whose interest comes first. As a Versicherungsmakler we work for you, and we compare cover across around 90 percent of the market.
| Tied Agent Works for one insurance company | NEOdirect Versicherungsmakler, not tied to any insurer Your broker | |
|---|---|---|
| Whose products can they sell? | Only their company's. | 100+ insurers, around 90 percent of the German market. |
| Whose interest do they represent? | The insurer's. | Yours, legally bound to act in your best interest. |
| How are they paid? | Commissions for selling that company's products. | Commissions are paid by insurers when policies are placed, never by you. |
| Can they support multiple insurers later? | No. | Yes, across every provider you have. |
People often look for an independent insurance broker, meaning someone who works for them rather than for a single insurer, and that is what we do as a Versicherungsmakler. We compare cover from more than 100 insurers, around 90 percent of the German market, and we earn the same whichever insurer you choose. We avoid the word independent, because in Germany it implies access to every company without exception, which no broker reaches.

How we get paid
How an advisor is paid shapes the advice you get, so we are open about our commission from the start. You never pay us directly and never pay more for using us, because the insurer sets the same premium wherever you buy.
Same price, wherever you buy
| Where you buy | Liability, per year |
|---|---|
| Directly at AXAThe insurer's own site | €50 |
| Through Check24A comparison portal | €50 |
| With NEOdirect Advice included Free advice | €50 |
The premium is identical at all three; with us the advice comes at no extra cost.
Private health (PKV), disability (BU), and pension contracts run over decades, so for these we lay out the full cost structure of each offer side by side, including acquisition, ongoing, and fund costs, and every offer comes with its official product information sheet (Produktinformationsblatt). On PKV our commission is even paid pro-rata over the years, so if you cancel early we earn less.
Commissions are a normal part of insurance, yet they are rarely explained. You deserve to know how your advisor earns before you trust them with a long-term decision.

Insurers pay a commission when a policy is placed, and we earn the same whichever insurer you choose. You never pay us directly and never pay more for using us. For bigger products like PKV, BU, and pensions we lay out the full cost structure up front.
